So What Is Bitcoin?

No doubt you may have heard the word 'Bitcoin' or some geek talk about it, but want to know more....Look no further as I try to explain in layman terms without too much tech ramblings.

Bitcoin is a decentralised currency, so it's not controlled by one central authority. Bitcoin is the first example of a massivly growing category of money known more commonly as cryptocurrency.

Bitcoins are not printed like Euros or Dollars They are produced all over the world by solving mathematical problems on computers using software.
Bitcoin is a form of digital currency that is created and held electronically. It is not controlled by one central authority!
